Arriving at my campsite, I wanted a simple way to wash my hands without wasting water. I took an empty plastic bottle and a syringe, then drilled a hole in the bottle cap just big enough for the syringe barrel. After securely fitting the syringe into the cap, I filled the bottle with clean water and screwed the cap back on. Pressing the syringe plunger, I made a small, controlled stream flow from the bottle—perfect for rinsing my hands or dishes right in camp.
This quick DIY project turned the bottle into a portable faucet, making camp life more convenient and efficient for me. It required only basic items—a used water bottle and a standard syringe—and worked reliably through repeated uses. I found it to be especially useful when conserving water and maintaining hygiene outdoors, transforming a simple idea into a practical solution during my trip.
